Fr Robert Brennan acquires Korean Citizenship

In a ceremony in Korea on 24 September, New Zealand Columban, Fr Robert Brennan, was presented with Korean Citizenship by Korean Justice Minister Choo Miae.

Fr Robert Brennan was appointed to Korea in 1975 the year he was ordained a missionary priest of the Saint Columban Missionary Society. He served in the parishes of Sajik in Samchuck, and Chongson in the diocese of Wonju. He ministered in the parish of Mokdong and the special mission parish of Samyang-Kumho in Seoul Archdiocese. He was the first Rector of the Columban formation house in Korea and is presently a committee member of Seoul Diocese’s city poor apostolate while working as a representative of the Samyang citizens association.
