The essence of God is love, embodying a dynamic relationship within the Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - characterised by total self-giving and receiving. This love is also shown in our relationships with each other. It reminds us that we are made in God's image. Just as the energy of an atom arises from the interaction of its components, our connections with others are central to living as images of God. We are loved because God is love.
