The conjunction of Saturn, Jupiter and Mars on March 20, 1345 was blamed by some for the plague known as the black death. The most famous tract on the 1345 event was written in France by Gersonides. He states “that it is known by experience that a conjunction of Saturn with Jupiter signifies great and general events.” When joined by Mars this portended “the destruction of a nation and a kingdom by a nation of a different religion.” More ominously he predicted “diseases and deaths which will last for a long time.
Today many newspapers and magazines produce a horoscope that claims to identify just how the alignment of heavenly bodies will influence people’s lives.

Help us to avoid been taken in by the many conspiracy theories that are offered by way of explanation.
