On January 31, 1930, the 3M company introduced a new product to the market - scotch tape. It was invented by a lab technician named Richard Drew, a high school dropout and banjo player. He had earlier developed a masking tape that could be used in painting cars. The pressure sensitive adhesive (cellulose tape) that he developed has become a necessity in offices and homes.
Loving God,
we thank you for inventive minds that are able to create useful products.
We ask that our best minds might be used to find solutions to the big problem we face.
We give thanks for those who are presently engaged in that work.
We ask that we be open to left field ideas and suggestion from outsiders that might help us to find creative solutions.
Amen
