The assassination of US President John F Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963 is sometimes described as the America’s greatest murder mystery. The Warren Commission, looked into the events surrounding the assassination and concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.
As recently as 2021 Josiah Thompson published a new book about the assassination that looks at the many questions that still remain about what happened on that day.
Gracious God,
the death of John F Kennedy is one of those events that people of a certain age will never forget.
Yet he is just one of a number of leaders who have been assassinated.
We pray for an end to violence in our world. We ask that the many challenges we face at the present time may bring out the best rather than the worst in people.
