On June 27, 1957, the British Medical Research Council published a report that suggested that there was a direct link between smoking tobacco and lung cancer.
The Tobacco Industry continue to deny this connection for some time even when their own studies were coming to the same conclusion.
Later it was shown that environmental exposure to cigarette smoke (passive smoking) can cause pulmonary carcinoma.
Lord,
cancer has become a major killer in our time.
Be with those who are searching for a cure. We are grateful for the changes that have happened in recent years to protect people from exposure.
We ask your healing touch on all who are suffering from cancer.
We pray especially for those who in this pandemic time face greater uncertainty about access to treatment.
Amen
